| GP Review: Full Slab |
| The Full Slab is out of this world. My husband and I decided to try something new in the neighborhood on a Friday night. We pulled into the parking lot, and we immediately noticed how full it was. We didn't know if it was for The Full Slab or for Tokyo of Japan, a Hibachi restaurant in the same shopping center. We walk into The Full Slab, and the first thing we notice is the INCREDIBLE smell. There were no open tables immediately, so we sat at the bar and ordered some drinks. We both ordered Fat Tire, which was on tap, but they also had some other great beers on tap. The restaurant was a lively place with multiple big screens for all of the basketball games and fun music playing in the background. Not long after we got our drinks, our table was ready. We were led over to our highboy table, and we perused the menu. It was a lot of Southern comfort foods; ribs, chops, fish and pastas. The appetizer menu was mostly smaller portions of the main foods. We decided on our dinner and ordered with our very friendly waiter. I ordered the pulled pork, sweet potato and green beans. My husband ordered the St. Louis style ribs (the also offer babyback ribs). The food came out quickly from the kitchen. The pulled pork was phenomenal; perfectly sweet and tender. My sweet potato was also perfect. It just melted in your mouth. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his ribs and all of the sauces available to put on them. Our waiter was nicely attentive. We finished our beers, and then the waiter brought us our check. Overall, the restaurant was excellent and I was highly recommend it. The food is phenomenal, the waiters are great, and the atmosphere is fun. The only thing I think could improve is the appetizer selection, but regardless, we will definitely be returning. |
